My provider says I cannot port my number away, what can I do?

Q. We are wanting to port over a number from our old premises. When we phoned our existing provider to inform them that we wished to port the number over to yourselves they refused. Do you know a way around this?

A. If you are tied into a contract, then you will need to honour the agreement. However, if you are not in a contract or if you can pay off the remainder of the contract then there should be no reason why you cannot port your number to us, providing the relevant porting agreements are in place.
